Pastoral Counseling and Mental Health Ministry Policy & Terms and Conditions

As a pastoral counselor and mental health coach, I provide faith-based guidance, support, and encouragement rooted in biblical principles. I do not charge fees for my services, nor do I function as a licensed clinician. I do not diagnose mental health conditions or utilize the DSM model in my practice. If an individual requires assistance beyond my scope of practice, I will gladly refer them to a licensed professional who can provide the necessary care. My goal is to offer spiritual and emotional support while ensuring individuals receive the appropriate help they may need.

Terms and Conditions

1. Nature of Services – Pastoral counseling is not a substitute for professional mental health treatment or medical care. It is intended for spiritual guidance and emotional support.

2. Confidentiality – Conversations are kept confidential to the extent allowed by law and ethical guidelines. However, disclosures of harm to self, harm to others, or abuse will be reported to the appropriate authorities.

3. No Liability – I do not assume responsibility for any decisions or actions taken by individuals based on our sessions. Clients are encouraged to seek professional help when needed.

4. Referrals – If concerns arise that are outside my scope of practice, I will recommend seeking assistance from a licensed mental health professional.

5. Voluntary Participation – Engaging in pastoral counseling is voluntary, and individuals may discontinue at any time.

By participating in pastoral counseling, individuals acknowledge and agree to these terms and conditions.
